The daily catch limit for salmonids, per fisherman using either recreational or professional gear on rivers and lakes, is set at six.

The daily catch limit for zander, pike, and black bass is three per fisherman, including no more than one pike, on all rivers and lakes in the Rhône department and the Metropolis of Lyon.

For recreational anglers, carp over 60 cm (23.6 inches) must not be transported alive (Article L436-16 of the Environmental Code).
